My name is Sydney and I'm a stor-a-holic. Yes, I did just make that word up but I'm pretty sure it means "someone who is obsessed with storage receptacles because they are in fact too lazy to clean their crap up." Yep, that's me.

Here's what I know: 1.) You can never have enough shoes, and 2.) You can never have enough shoes.

Now that we've cleared that up, let me share with you some storage tips that will spruce up your place and perhaps save your relationship/marriage. Remember that saying, "Out of sight, out of mind?"


Madras Storage Cube, World Market - $79.99

My current obsession is this oh-so-simple wicker storage cube from World Market. At $79.99, it's a little pricey but I was so desperate to find something with a lid to throw my shoes in at a moment's notice. I also keep Fritz's leash (notice him modeling below) here since it's right next to the front door.

My usual go-to for storage is either Container Store (duh!) or my holy place TJMAXX HomeGoods. And although I love my little old house, it happened to come with a little old (blue and pink, I might add) bathroom! And when I mean little, I mean miniscuel. Hardly any built in storage called for a trip to HomeGoods and Bed, Bath & Beyond. I can't remember how much I paid for the aluminum shelf or the baskets, but all together I know it was under $50. What a difference it makes when I'm gettting ready in the morning!
