figaro. figaro. figaro.

It's that time of year again. And no, I'm not talking about tailgating or pumpkin carving (that's next week)... It's time to kick off the 2015 opera season at The Dallas Opera with First Night. First Sight. featuring the Marriage of Fiagro. Last year was our first year to attend this glam gathering of Dallas' finest, and we were shocked by how much those opera folks like to get down. I mean, it's pretty darn impressive if you can manage to eat a big fancy dinner at Stephan Pyles (at 5 p.m.), attend a 3-hour opera with cocktails, and THEN manage to make it to the after party that doesn't even start until midnight! Needless to say, we're going back for more. And this year we hope we don't forget our keys at the valet and have to ring the neighbor's doorbell at 3 a.m. (Sorry about that, Shauna!)

2013 Look:

Believe it or not, there is no dress code at TDO. You'll see everything from jeans and cowboys boots to diamonds on display, but the opening nights tend to go formal. I'm usually not much of a "who are you wearing" type of person, but this year I'm super excited about my "look" - less stiff and more young! What do you think? Are you attending this season?

2014 Look:

2. Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace in Dark Red // $80
3. Calvin Klein Black Tiered Gown // No longer available
